Watch & learn : Postprod work from A to Z

Hi all !

Here is a complete post work form me at 8x speed. This is not a real tutorial as nothing is really explained. Anyway, it shows a full process of 3d architectural integration, with different basic techniques and processes.


This job was made for Asymetrie, the project is from one of our customers.

    What's the name of program where do you have all the object library (skies, plants, trees, etc etc...)? To make the green in the balcony like your image, where I could find a tutorial?

    Thanks for your comment, the image browser is Adobe bridge, it is included in adobe packages. For the vegetation painting method it's a quite simple process I'll explain in future Session/tutorial.

  4. It'd be awesome if you'd allow us to download the videos.
    That way we'd be able to slow them down a bit when watching.

    You use Cinema 4D, right? Could you show us your output workflow for a job like this? You know, render passes and so on...... that would be really nice.

    Sorry in this case I'm only doing postproduction.
    Modeling is done under Archicad by a colleague and rendered under Artlantis by another one.
    Artlantis has a fun and good working photomatching process.

    Anyway, I'm not a fan of different passes, I prefer direct adjustments with photoshop or AfterFX. The only one I use a lot is the material ID, which can be generated in almost every 3d package. This is only a matter of choice, render passes are supposed to offer more control, but when I do the 3D part I prefer to spend more time on the lighting/texturing than to use passes.

    In cinema 4D photomatching is also quite easy using foreground and background objects.
    Apply your photo on the background object,
    apply on the foreground object a material with a transparent image(like tif, png) with parts of the photo that should be in front of the building/object.

  11. oh, ok. I just asked 'cause you have a few posts on Cinema 4D and VrayforC4D, so I figured... but yeah, anything you can add on that would be great. I'll be watching. ;)
